It probably wasn't that bad for everyone, if you happened to have the right set of games. The plugin system allowed PSEmuPro to live on a while longer than it would have otherwise, and also made it easier to transition to new emulators. I actually had better luck with PSEmuPro, Pete's original TNT plugin, and the original null2 SPU plugin (after I realized null was the dude's name and it wasn't an alternative no-audio plugin!) SPU emulation was very poor (at least when playing sampled music), overall compatibility wasn't very high, performance was a mixed bag (on a Celeron 400 that was far ahead of the recommended minimum specs), speed regulation had some big issues, and there were pretty significant GPU issues even in software mode. I dunno, I had lots of problems with Bleem! even without using the DirectX renderer. Join us at /r/EmuDev Android Emulator accuracy tests:Īre you an emulator developer?
